“I just want to add my wishes of good luck to Susan. I know she does not need them. She is one of the most talented people that I have come up against. We debated each other every week on channel 2 in New York, and let me tell the Members, Mr. Speaker, she is one tough adversary, but underneath it all she is a very decent and honorable person. I know this has been her wish for many, many years, to go where she is going to; and with a wonderful family, a great child, and a great new career ahead of her, I think I speak for all of us when I say we wish her the best of luck and Godspeed.”
