Finally, Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 29; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, and morning business be closed; that upon the conclusion of morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session to resume consideration of the Lewis nomination and that, at 10:30 a.m., the Senate vote on the confirmation of the nomination; further, that upon disposition of the Lewis nomination, the Senate resume consideration of the Anderson nomination; that the cloture motions filed during yesterday's session ripen at 2:30 p.m.; and that the cloture vote on the Meyer nomination occur immediately after the cloture vote on the Anderson nomination; finally, that if any nominations are confirmed on Wednesday, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action.
