“It is utterly germane to the debate we are now involved in about supporting our troops overseas. As I mentioned, Valerie Plame was just as much a soldier in the war on terrorism. She was an expert on weapons of mass destruction, which is the casus belli of where we are. It is vital we get to the bottom of it. I think this amendment is quite germane--more germane, in fact, than others. The supplemental includes $600 million to fund further weapons inspections.”
