I understand the purpose of this hearing is to discuss local and state efforts; however, PTA believes federal leadership is important to ensuring all districts and states are able to meaningfully partner with parents.

I don't want my schools to start to panic because the majority of my schools they are the safest places some of these young people go to.

It is a parent's worst nightmare to send a child to school only to learn that the child has become a victim of a crime or other incident * * * [w]e see acts of bullying that quickly escalate into outbreaks of violence.

CTE programs, in my opinion, are critical to creating a holistic educational experience for secondary and postsecondary students.
