We are experiencing a crisis, and I must say that the panelists--first, I want to thank all of my colleagues that participated, but the panel was a particularly articulate and informed one.

It is a persistent problem, the affordability of housing in my own district, and I would say in my city, in my State, and clear across this country.

If we are able to comprehensively address this crisis, it will depend on getting dark money out of our political system and make democracy responsive to everyday Americans.

But the time for dodging accountability is over. Today, I am announcing my intent to issue a subpoena for documents from Smith & Wesson's CEO and other top executives so that we can finally get answers about why this company is selling…
