Today's hearing makes clear that the loss of abortion rights is devastating, absolutely devastating for women across the country.

It is high time that Congress gets serious about the cost of anti-LGBTQ hatred and commit to honoring those in its crosshairs with real actions.

I was sincerely hoping that they would use this opportunity to acknowledge their role in the violence plaguing our Nation.

Following today's hearing House Democrats will continue to take bold action to stop the bloodshed. Later this week, we hope to vote on the first assault weapon ban in nearly 30 years.
