Yesterday, a heinous and cowardly act was perpetrated against this great Nation. My heart and the hearts of my constituents go out to the families of the victims. No American family, no family on Earth should suffer the loss of a loved and cherished one under these circumstances. We must ensure that these innocent men and women will not have died in vain. To those terrorists who dared to violate our people and our country and those nations who harbor and give aid and comfort to those pathetic excuses for human beings, I promise you, we will identify you, we will find you, we will rid this world of the stench of your existence. There is no such thing as a measured response to this horrific attack. This act of war will be avenged. Our beloved Nation will learn from this outrage, and we will be a stronger and far greater Nation for it. God bless our people; God bless America.
