They, together with my staff and the staff of Chairman Riegle and the ranking member, Senator D'Amato, all worked very carefully to make sure that this piece of legislation is balanced, it represents a significant achievement in terms of consumer protection, and may very well be the most significant consumer bill enacted in this session of the Congress. It also recognizes the business community, in terms of being able to have access to credit information. That is important for the business community, as well as for consumers. I want to acknowledge again the appreciation that I have for my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for their support of this piece of legislation.
