Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to the consideration of Calendar No. 549, S. 2323. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title. The bill clerk read as follows: A bill (S. 2323) to amend chapter 21 of title 5, United States Code, to provide that fathers of certain permanently disabled or deceased veterans shall be included with mothers of such veterans as preference eligibles for treatment in the civil service. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
