“I spoke yesterday to the senior Senator from New Mexico, Mr. Domenici. He is interested, as are a number of other Senators, in moving forward on the mental health parity legislation. This may be the window that we can do that, and I say that because what we have been waiting on is a proposed amendment dealing with the scope of that matter from the distinguished chairman of the HELP Committee. I ask my friend if he has an idea when that might be ready because that is all that is holding up going to our legislation, as I understand it.”
