We had one unanimous consent vote today on DOD and a vote on the Lugar amendment. I thought there would be something on Boy Scouts, but that never came to be, on an amendment offered by the majority leader.

Get rid of the filibuster. It`s nothing. As Barack Obama said at John Lewis` funeral, it`s part of the leftovers from the days of slave owners. You have got to get rid of it. It`s very bad.
He has no regrets. He says he had to do it to save Obama’s presidency because of what the Republicans were doing to obstruct the president’s confirmation of judges and other legislative things.
