I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that following any leader remarks, the Senate resume consideration of S. 1845, the unemployment insurance extension legislation, with the time until 12:30 p.m. equally divided between the two leaders or their designees--and that would be controlled time--with the majority controlling the first 30 minutes and the Republicans controlling the second 30 minutes; further, that the filing deadline for second-degree amendments to S. 1845 be 11 a.m., Tuesday; that the Senate recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings; and finally, that the time from 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. be equally divided and controlled between the two leaders. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. ____________________
