I have always been so proud of the Senator from California, because it doesn't matter if you are speaking to the League of Women Voters or to a high school class, whoever you are speaking to, you say the same thing in response to the same question. You have had tough, hard campaigns, but you have never deviated from what you believe in. It has caused you some heartache and heartburn because they have been tough decisions. That is why I am so upset and feel so oppressed, put upon, and don't know what to do about these ads running all over the country. A person can run against Barbara Boxer. A person can speak out against Barbara Boxer on an issue because they disagree with how you feel on that issue. But not to come up with, we love Social Security and the Democrats are trying to destroy it. That, I am sorry to say, is not fair. It is not right. It is dishonest. It is wrong. This is what a totalitarian government is all about. If you tell a lie long enough, people might believe it.

Get rid of the filibuster, is nothing that as Brock Obama said, at John Lewis` funeral, it’s part of the leftovers from the days of the slave owners. You got to get rid of it. It’s very, very bad.

if some rule of the Senate stands in the way of getting that, making sure that every American has the right to vote and the vote counted, then we got to change that rule.
