Just so there is no misunderstanding, I want to state what was said by the Republican nominee for the U.S. Presidency in October of last year: ``I was there fighting the fight''--a direct quote--``one of 12 voting against Medicare, because we knew it wouldn't work in 1965.'' Is that the reference that the Senator made?
