But I have to say that in picking seven relatively small projects out of a $21 billion bill I think the Senator from New Mexico and I in managing this bill did a pretty good job. This bill provides many different things. Let's take, for example--I will not take any of the things in Nevada for obvious reasons. But let's take the sister State of California: $6 million to dredge and deepen Long Beach Harbor. This deepening will significantly improve sea trade up and down the west coast, and in the Asia-Pacific basin. It will even reduce the transportation costs of oil that is being brought down from Alaska.

Well, I think Joe Biden has done what needs to be done in this country. We are so far behind and roads, bridges, dams, water systems, sewer systems. And every dollar we spend on getting infrastructure is a correction toward cleaner America.
if some rule of the Senate stands in the way of getting that, making sure that every American has the right to vote and the vote counted, then we got to change that rule.
The Senate is a place to kill things. It isn’t a place that you look to get things done.
As a result of that, Barack Obama will go down as having the most successful Congress in the history of the country. Barack Obama changed the world.
