first of all, I appreciate your patience presiding over the Senate at this late hour. I extend my appreciation to this staff, everybody here, for all this work. About the last month has been very difficult. I appreciate very much the professionalism that is shown here in the Senate and the efforts they go to to make all of us look good. Sometimes that takes a lot of effort. But I do appreciate their working so hard together here at the desk. If there is ever anything that is bipartisan, it is right here, Republicans and Democrats, and there is no partisanship on the Senate floor. Step back a little bit and there is when we are away from the professional staff, but I appreciate very much their hard work. ____________________

More from Harry Reid
Well, I think Joe Biden has done what needs to be done in this country. We are so far behind and roads, bridges, dams, water systems, sewer systems. And every dollar we spend on getting infrastructure is a correction toward cleaner America.
There’s no state in the union that needs more help than West Virginia. And, in my opinion, Joe Manchin is hurting his own state. The state of West Virginia would benefit so greatly with infrastructure. It’s the poorest state in the union…
Never in the history of the country, never in the history of the country have we produced more for a president and somebody that’s led his party than we’ve done together.
He has no regrets. He says he had to do it to save Obama’s presidency because of what the Republicans were doing to obstruct the president’s confirmation of judges and other legislative things.
