The numbers the Senator has on that chart are basically inaccurate to the effect that it does not include the disguise that is taking place down at Pennsylvania Avenue, because Social Security surpluses are there to dampen the amount of the deficit. Actually, the deficit is about $485 billion, not $304 billion, because the Social Security surpluses are being used to disguise the budget.
