Get rid of the filibuster, is nothing that as Brock Obama said, at John Lewis` funeral, it’s part of the leftovers from the days of the slave owners. You got to get rid of it. It’s very, very bad.

But the purpose of politics that Harry Reid understood very well is to get stuff done.

He has no regrets. He says he had to do it to save Obama’s presidency because of what the Republicans were doing to obstruct the president’s confirmation of judges and other legislative things.

Let ‘em do it. Why in the world would we care? We were trying to protect everybody.
