there are four bills at the desk and I ask for their first reading en bloc. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bills by title for the first time. The assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A bill (S. 2062) to authorize Members of Congress to bring an action for declaratory and injunctive relief in response to a written statement by the President or any other official in the executive branch directing officials of the executive branch to not enforce a provision of law. A bill (S. 2066) to amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the intentional discrimination of a person or organization by an employee of the Internal Revenue Service. A bill (S. 2067) to prohibit the Department of the Treasury from assigning tax statuses to organizations based on their political beliefs and activities. An act (H.R. 3865) to prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from modifying the standard for determining whether an organization is operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare for purposes of section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

Get rid of the filibuster. It’s nothing. As Barack Obama said at John Lewis’ funeral, it’s part of the leftovers from the days of slave owners. You have got to get rid of it. It’s very bad.
Well, I think Joe Biden has done what needs to be done in this country. We are so far behind and roads, bridges, dams, water systems, sewer systems. And every dollar we spend on getting infrastructure is a correction toward cleaner America.
The filibuster is going away. It is nothing that helps the country. It doesn’t help states. It doesn’t help individuals. It is on its way out. It’s a question of when it goes.
There’s no state in the union that needs more help than West Virginia. And, in my opinion, Joe Manchin is hurting his own state. The state of West Virginia would benefit so greatly with infrastructure. It’s the poorest state in the union…
