we rushed through these as if they didn't mean anything, but for each one of these people, it means a new life for them. These are very accomplished people, and I am only going to talk about one tonight--Mark P. Wetjen to be Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This young man came to me working for a major law firm--the largest law firm in Nevada. I got a call from my son, who said: This person I work with wants to come to work in Washington, so he came and worked in Washington. He has been an invaluable employee of mine and the State of Nevada and the Senate. He is a person the entire Senate looks to for advice and counseling on banking, housing issues, and other matters. He has been a wonderful employee. I really hate to lose him, but his talent is one people recognize, both Democrats and Republicans, and I am very proud of him. Even though I will miss him, I know he will be very good as Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission-- one of the most important commissions in the entire world. So I wish him the very best. ____________________
