Harry Reid: “At 5:30 p.m. on Monday, there will be a cloture vote on the Leahy amendment No. 1183, as modified. ____________________”

Get rid of the filibuster, is nothing that as Brock Obama said, at John Lewis` funeral, it’s part of the leftovers from the days of the slave owners. You got to get rid of it. It’s very, very bad.

He has no regrets. He says he had to do it to save Obama’s presidency because of what the Republicans were doing to obstruct the president’s confirmation of judges and other legislative things.

But the purpose of politics that Harry Reid understood very well is to get stuff done.

I have to win 50 plus one.
