today I wish to recognize the 25th anniversary of the Lambda Business Association. The Lambda Business Association was established in Las Vegas in 1991 as a networking club for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer--LGBTQ--businessowners and professionals. Since then, Lambda has grown into a strong nonprofit organization known as the LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce for Southern Nevada and has become a resilient voice for the LGBTQ business community. For the past 25 years, Lambda has brought together LGBTQ business owners and their allies to build a strong network of public leaders. Lambda's members proudly display the attributes of inclusion, equality, integrity, fairness, and responsibility outlined in Lambda's code of ethics. Lambda also provides important volunteer opportunities to its members to bring positive change to southern Nevada. Through its dedicated work, Lambda has fought for a more inclusive economic environment that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit that helps businesses grow and succeed. Lambda's work is appreciated and admired. I look forward to the continued work of Lambda to ensure equal rights for LGBTQ businessowners and professionals, and I wish this important organization success for many years to come.
