As a result of political compromise, we put some really bad judges on the circuit court and they produced a 2 to 1 decision requiring the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to license Yucca Mountain. Their opinion means nothing. Yucca Mountain is dead. It is padlocked. Nothing is going to happen there.
Reid criticized the court's decision on Yucca Mountain, claiming it had no real impact.
