Harry Reid: “I think something that would not cost any money but would be good for the economy is do something about airline…”

On the recordNovember 13, 2001
I think something that would not cost any money but would be good for the economy is do something about airline security, which has been floating around now for more than a month. We had the terrible incident September 11, with over 6,000 people killed. We had this terrible accident. This bill is being held up because they don't want people to have the same protection as the firemen and police who lost their lives in New York protecting innocent people. Do you think it would create economic security if we had airline security?

Get rid of the filibuster, is nothing that as Brock Obama said, at John Lewis` funeral, it’s part of the leftovers from the days of the slave owners. You got to get rid of it. It’s very, very bad.
