Madam President, I am trying to move this along as quickly as possible. I am going to come here a little later and ask consent that we move forward very quickly. Each day that we don't complete the CR is a day closer to the government shutting down. I want no excuses from anyone about time. I don't want anyone to say that the majority controls the Senate and that we are doing anything to slow down this bill. I think we should move as quickly as we can. It is to everyone's advantage. If the House wants to take a look at what we have done, let them do that and get back to us as quickly as possible. We have to avoid this shutdown. The American people are afraid of what could happen. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from Iowa.
