Harry Reid: “Tomorrow we hope to make progress on the unemployment insurance extension. Senators will be notified when any votes are…”

I have to win 50 plus one.

Get rid of the filibuster. It`s nothing. As Barack Obama said at John Lewis` funeral, it`s part of the leftovers from the days of slave owners. You have got to get rid of it. It`s very bad.

I didn’t have success because of my good looks, or because I was a genius. I had success because I worked harder than anybody else.

But the purpose of politics that Harry Reid understood very well is to get stuff done.
