following leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the Violence Against Women Act. The time until noon will be divided and controlled equally between the two leaders or their designees. At noon, Senator-designee Cowan of Massachusetts will be sworn in to be a Member of the Senate. We expect to complete action on the Violence Against Women Act. We hope to be able to do that today. If we cannot, we will do it tomorrow. ____________________
