The Department of Energy is negotiating a contract involving the Nevada Test Site and the Western Area Power Administration to purchase 5 to 10 megawatts of solar energy on behalf of the Nevada Test Site. A single bidder; the Corporation for Solar Technologies and Renewable Resources, has been selected through a competitive process and the Department is in the process of determining on what terms it should enter into such a contract.
