I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will report the amendment. The Clerk read as follows: At the end of the bill, before the short title, insert the following: Sec. ___. None of the funds made available in this Act may be used to issue rules or regulations to allow an individual on an aircraft to engage in voice communications using a mobile communications device during a flight of that aircraft in scheduled passenger interstate or intrastate air transportation except for use by a member of the flight crew on duty on an aircraft, flight attendant on duty on an aircraft, or Federal law enforcement officer acting in an official capacity.
