there are ecologically sound ways to do salvage logging. This amendment assures that the science is followed. All we are asking is that the Secretary, in approving one of these projects, certify it will not increase forest-fire risk, and will not decrease forest regeneration. I urge my colleagues to support the amendment. I yield back any remaining time.
