I have seen what it is like for the FDA employees who work in the trenches, so to speak, doing the job that we all want them to do to ensure the safety of the food supply. They are in danger of their own situation because the place has been broken into time after time. It is in a terrible location. It is in a terrible state of repair. It is not worth this effort that we have gone through. I would say to the gentleman, a trip out there to see it would probably change his whole viewpoint because he has been led down the primrose path. Is this construction project an emergency? My answer is 'yes.' This facility is in such poor shape that it is getting in the way of FDA's performance and its consumer protection mission. That is not a small statement on the situation that we have in this particular laboratory. You have to go and see it. You cannot do it from the presentation that you have had from this today.
