I concur in the statements made by the Senator from Colorado and thank him for working carefully with me and my staff to resolve these issues in a way that will ensure protection of park resources and provide for the continued operation of the Grand River Ditch and the Colorado-Big Thompson Projects.

It's important that we have a person with substantial knowledge and many varied skills in order to succeed.

First we would want a person as Secretary of Energy who had a knowledge of science and engineering.
