I would like to announce for the information of the Senate and the public that a field hearing has been scheduled before the Subcommittee on National Parks. The hearing will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the CCC Recreation Hall, Mile Post 19, Mesa Verde National Park, CO. The purpose of the hearing is to examine issues affecting management of archaeological, cultural, and historic resources at Mesa Verde National Park and other units of the National Park System. Because of the limited time available for the hearing, witnesses may testify by invitation only. However, those wishing to submit written testimony for the hearing record should send it to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, United States Senate, 304 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510-6150, or by email to [email protected]. For further information, please contact David Brooks (202) 224-9863 or Jake McCook (202) 224-9313. ____________________
