The Attorney General’s duty is to uphold the rule of law, defend the Constitution, and ensure that justice is applied fairly and equally to every American.

This continuing resolution averts another Republican government shutdown, provides stability for families and communities, and gives Congress time to negotiate bipartisan funding bills.

As the Senator for New Mexico, and as the longtime U.S. Representative for IAIA’s home in Santa Fe, I’m honored to be appointed to this important leadership position.

Now, we have to make sure every eligible New Mexican has the resources they need to apply.
