New Mexico businesses and families should not have to bear the cost of Trump’s policies that make it more expensive to keep the doors open and buy everyday goods.

That’s why I’m reintroducing the CARE Act to raise the standard and bring our agricultural labor laws in line with other industries to better protect children and improve their working conditions.

Children have their whole futures ahead of them, and our country must do more to protect those working in the agriculture industry.

I strongly oppose these efforts to weaken these vital standards and will continue working to protect New Mexicans’ health, our environment, and energy needs.
