Given the higher costs along the coast, it is evident, to me at least, that an increased CONUS COLA is something that would greatly benefit Coasties and servicemembers stationed in these areas.
But — there’s a big but with that — if we’re not ready, then we need to, for a year or a year and a half, renew the subsidy.
I believe that we have, but is this an avenue the Coast Guard has explored to help the high costs that are located by these bases?
