Taipei's desire to procure F-16 C/D fighters is based on what I believe Taiwan's growing alarm as to the PRC's systematic deployment of more missiles, combat aircraft, and an order of battle that increasingly by the week, by the month, certainly by the year looks more ominous and more menacing to people across the Taiwan Strait.
