In my lifetime I've never seen a situation more asking for a viable third-party candidate.

The problem is they don't want to do the hard work that's necessary to lead and change the party.

The selection of Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio as Mr. Trump's running mate doubles down on the portion of the party already completely devoted to him rather than reaches out to the broader party and beyond.

What happened this weekend doesn't erase Trump's role in the political climate, the language that he uses against his political opponents which is over the top to say the least, but in some cases, points directly to violence.
