The costs can be summed up by the figures in this report, but it can also be put more simply: For many in our country, the cost has been nothing less than seeing their chance at the American dream fade before their very eyes.

People on the Seacoast have already waited far too long to get these unsafe chemicals out of their communities, and continuing to delay cleanup is unacceptable.

If the President actually wanted to help the American people, he would listen to them.

The legislation builds on the No Surprises Act by clearly defining what information must be included in these estimates—including facility fees, a provision added at Senator Hassan's request—to help patients avoid unexpected costs.
