I appreciated the opportunity to hear from leaders of organizations that help combat addiction about what programs have been working and the ways in which we can continue to expand access to the treatment and support that saves lives.

This bipartisan legislation will help patients make more informed decisions by requiring greater transparency about health care prices and out-of-pocket costs.

The Administration’s decision is outrageous; the fight against addiction is hard enough, and the work of first responders and law enforcement will only become more difficult if we defund proven efforts that have saved lives.

The hardest part about this for me in particular is knowing that Donald Trump's decisions to impose tariffs around the world and to go to war with Iran have made this problem worse.
