The Administration’s decision is outrageous; the fight against addiction is hard enough, and the work of first responders and law enforcement will only become more difficult if we defund proven efforts that have saved lives.

There is good evidence that fentanyl test strips save lives, but the Trump Administration decided to ignore science and the law by announcing that communities can no longer use federal grant funding to distribute these tools.

I will continue to push the Administration for accountability and to ensure that communities have the resources that they need to clean up contamination as quickly as possible.

No matter where I go in our state, Granite Staters of all ages, walks of life, and political stripes have the same problem: It costs too much to live in New Hampshire.
