The foremost responsibility we have in representing the American people under our Constitution is to keep them safe. If we don't do that, we have nothing else. We have seen the events over the last few days, as Senator McCain has described them. He is the ranking member of the Armed Services Committee and certainly someone known as being more knowledgeable about national security than anyone else in this body.…”
