Agriculture is an important part of our state’s economy and heritage, and I appreciate the bill’s intent to provide additional meat processing access for small farmers and producers.

As a murder prosecutor and former Attorney General, I understand the need to pursue and deliver justice.

We do not need to create a novel approach to allow defendants to seek a new trial.

As we have seen from recent risk pool failures, this is an important policy area to get right and these proposals need more work.
