We write regarding the Department of Defense’s failure to provide the American people with basic information about the war with Iran and its cost to taxpayers, even as the human costs of this war rise.

On this visit, Senator Durbin and I will meet with officials, young leaders and civil society representatives to discuss security, economic opportunity and their countries’ relationships with the United States.

I’m proud to join this bipartisan effort that will cut administrative red tape, save money and make it easier for the Coast Guard to effectively collaborate with the coastal communities it protects.

This is not only the right thing to do, but it’s an opportunity for us to provide some relief for so many families who are really struggling with high costs.
