“I really was quite inspired in hearing the gentlemen speak of what is being celebrated this week as a truly momentous occasion, the history of the world. We tend to overlook it, but the little booklet the gentleman is holding in his hand, I carry one of those in my briefcase. Every once in a while, especially traveling back and forth between here in Washington on the train, just the other day I read through it. I try to read through it every once in a while when we are dealing with an issue that a portion of the Constitution may deal with specifically. I just find it very helpful. But as I was thinking about participating in this discussion tonight, I thought of doing something a little bit differently, and in talking to the gentleman from Arizona and the gentleman from Georgia and those that may be viewing hopefully back home in New Jersey, I will talk a little bit about the four people from New Jersey who participated and signed the Constitution.”
