“In conclusion, if the gentleman will continue to yield, I think what I spoke about, what we have done in New Jersey and what we did in my county, is to illustrate how one-size-fits-all approaches that too often Washington, DC, folks have felt is the way to go does not always work. It is not always the answer to all of the needs of the communities throughout our great country. I hope that initiatives that we have had, not just in New Jersey but really in many of our districts that are represented here tonight, will be reflected upon. I talk about some of the success stories that we have been involved with in central New Jersey, with the hope of encouraging other people to not necessarily feel they have to reinvent the wheel. I certainly look forward to learning of what positive things may have taken place in your district and in others and certainly take those ideas back home.”
