“The highlight of my month really, though, was the annual Somerset County 4-H Fair, which is my home county which I am very proud of. We talk about our fair as the largest free fair east of the Mississippi, and we believe that it is. It is a 3-day event. This was our 49th annual fair, and typically during that 3 days we have anywhere between 75,000 and 80,000 people attend the event. It is one that I am proud to be a part of. I have been an adult volunteer there for many years and mainly because of the wholesome environment and wholesome activities that the 4-H program provides. We, again, in our county are proud of the fact that it is the largest 4-H program in the State of New Jersey and one that I know is prevalent in many communities throughout the United States and really throughout the world.”
