Mr. Chair, I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle B of title III insert the following: SEC. 3__. PFAS DESIGNATION, EFFLUENT LIMITATIONS, AND PRETREATMENT STANDARDS. (a) In General.--Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall revise the list of toxic pollutants described in paragraph (1) of section 307(a) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1317(a)) to add per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances to such list, and publish such revised list, without taking into account the factors listed in such paragraph. (b) Effluent Standards.--As soon as practicable after the date on which the revised list is published under subsection (a), but not later than January 1, 2022, the Administrator shall publish in the Federal Register effluent standards under section 307(a)(2) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1317(a)(2)) for substances added to the list of toxic pollutants pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, in accordance with sections 301(b)(2)(A) and 304(b)(2) of such Act. (c) Pretreatment Standards.--Not later than January 1, 2022, the Administrator shall promulgate pretreatment standards for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances under section 307(b) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1317(b)).
