The BEAD Program will invest 42 billion in our Nation's broadband infrastructure to finally connect the hardest-to-reach communities.

It's critical that Congress not only address the challenges to deploying broadband but also work to make these services more affordable.

I urge this committee to prioritize the safety and well-being of our communities, including the investments that we have put in improving public transit.

I was proud to see this legislation signed into law to protect this lifeline for survivors.
