“reclaiming my time, I had read from our State Attorney General Jon Bruning, who is doing a fantastic job in that position, that it is 60 percent. But I did too have a local law enforcement officer that suggested it is higher than that, at least when we add the totality. He said, first of all, there are many of the folks in our State prison that are there because they are involved with meth; that they are dealing, cooking, distributing; or that they committed a crime while high on meth or, getting up to about that 90 percent figure, they are out burglarizing, robbing, plundering to get money to buy the drug. So many of our local officers feel that it is as high as 90 percent, whether it is directly related to the distribution or cooking of meth or just that they are so hooked that they are out robbing money to get it.”
